After trading down twice in the first round to stockpile picks, the St. Louis Rams finally made a selection. St. Louis was on the clock with the No. 16 pick before trading with Buffalo and again at No. 22 when the Falcons jumped up for Desmond Trufant, but with the No. 30 overall pick in their pocket, St. Louis buckled down and selected Georgia linebacker Alec Ogletree.
Ogletree was one of the top inside linebackers left on the board and he certainly fills a hole in the center of their defense.
The former Georgia Bulldog will be an impact player who can step in and contribute from day one. If it were not for some character issues, Ogletree very well could have been a top fifteen selection. With the No. 30 overall pick, he is incredible value.
