NFL.com senior analyst Gil Brandt ranked Mississippi State’s Gabe Jackson the sixth best senior in college football.
Two of the five players sitting in front of Jackson are fellow Southeastern Conference players. Texas A&M’ s Jake Matthews tops the list at tackle. Tennessee’s defensive tackle Daniel McCullers sits at No. 4.
Brandt described Jackson as:
“The 6-3 1/4, 331-pound Jackson runs the 40-yard dash in 5.25 seconds, has started 36 games over three seasons and was a first-team all-SEC pick in 2012. Jackson is a first-round possibility and should have a long NFL career. He isn’t at the same level as Chance Warmack (the 2013 first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans), who was exceptional.”
