It’s NASCAR race day at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, and we’ve got some essential information you need to get ready for today’s Kobalt Tools 400.

START TIME: A Lowe’s executive will instruct drivers to start their engines at 3:08 Eastern time today (12:08 local), followed by the green flag at 3:16 p.m. So if you want to skip the pre-race show and just tune in for the race, turn on your TV at 3:16.

RACE DISTANCE: The Kobalt Tools 400 is a 400.5-mile race around the 1.5-mile Las Vegas Motor Speedway. That means drivers will need to go 267 laps to complete the full distance.

NATIONAL ANTHEM: Marie Osmond — yes, of the Osmonds — will do the honors today. She is currently starring in a 90-minute Vegas show with her brother, Donny.

TV/RADIO SCHEDULE: FOX will broadcast today’s race and has a pre-race show beginning at 2:30 p.m. ET. The Performance Racing Network (PRN) will call the race on the radio.

WEATHER: Mild and pleasant. The National Weather Service is predicting a sunny desert day with a high of 69 degrees. Rain is not in the forecast.

LAST TIME: Tony Stewart followed up his 2011 championship by scoring a win at Las Vegas just three races into the 2012 season — his first-ever win at the track.

STARTING LINEUP: Since Las Vegas was hit with day-long rain on Friday, qualifying was rained out and the field was set according to the rulebook; in this case, that was last year’s owner points. Brad Keselowski was awarded the pole, and he’ll start alongside Clint Bowyer.
