Welcome to SportsNation! On Thursday, professional golfer Rickie Fowler stops by to chat about the PGA Tour season.

Fowler, @RickieFowlerPGA, is in his fourth full season on tour, having captured the first win of his career last year. So far this year, Fowler, an Oklahoma State product, owns two 6th-place finishes in three events.

Fowler, along with Bubba Watson, Ben Crane and Hunter Mahan, make up “Golf Boys,” a boy band that made a music video for charity.

Rickie is here!

Eric Graham (Dubuque, IA)

Are you disappointed that your golf game has overshadowed your true career as the pretty boy of the Golf Boys?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:30 PM)

Yes, I’m looking to make a big move in the next couple of years and taking my musical endeavors to the next level.

Erik Carlson (Duluth, MN)

Rickie, what’s it like being one of the youngest star players on the tour? How does it compare to your previous experiences?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:31 PM)

It just shows that the game is in a great spot right now with all of the young players. Hopefully the next generation can take over for the vets that are on their way out.

Craig (Murrieta, Cailf Rickie’s Home town)

With all the different outfits and shoes you wear on tour what happens to the outfits after you wear them. Charity? Closet?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:32 PM)

Believe it or not, I do use a washer and dryer and dry cleaning.

Lauren (Thousand Oaks, CA)

How do you balance sponsor engagements and commitments with your professional career?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:33 PM)

Good time management is key. Setting up the schedule with enough down time between tournaments gives me the opportunity to take care of sponsorship committments in the off weeks.

Bobby Chasney (Ventura, CA)

You’ve played solid in The Masters the past two years making both cuts and you’re off to a great start this year. How important do you think it is to build momentum leading up to the first major of the year?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:34 PM)

I am really looking forward to the first major this year. I do every year with it being The Masters. The few weeks leading up to it, I plan on preparing for it moreso than the last couple of years and see if we can have a better outcome.

Lauren (Thousand Oaks, CA)

What is your earliest golf memory?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:35 PM)

It would be lessons on the driving range with Barry at the golf range.

Barb (Florida)

when are you playing next Rickie?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:36 PM)

My next schduled event is the Match Play. I’m planning my year around the majors to make sure I’m well prepared for those.

Barb (Florida)

Rickie, what is it like playing with Tiger? Is it different playing with him in Jupiter compared to an actual tour event?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:37 PM)

As of now it isn’t. Earlier in my career it would have been a little different. I’m definitely more comfortable now with who I’m playing with. But it’s definitely different than your normal pairing.

Roberto (michigan)

What is it about the new driver this year you like more then last years amp driver? And why did you go back to the vokey wedges instead of the trusty rusty wedges?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:38 PM)

I’m driving the ball straighter than last year. With the options of being able to change loft, it takes away a variable rather than being set with one loft. You’re able to change the shaft too which works with the loft.

Jordan (Minnesota)

You’ve been able to rebound this year after a not so good round, what helps you amp up to come in the next day and turn it around?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:38 PM)

I keep a positive mindset and forgetting about stuff that’s happened in the past. Always moving forward.

paul (nebraska)

what would you consider the strengths of your game, and which part would you say might need a little improvement?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:39 PM)

Strengths: ball striking and shot making. But every part of the game could use some improvement. It always can.

Barb (Florida)

What can you tell us about this new golf boys video, and when does it come out?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:41 PM)

Hoping to launch it soon. You will see a few more outfit changes.

Ryan (San Jose, CA)

Saw you last year at the US Open signing a bunch of autographs. How does it feel being a fan favorite, especially with the young golfers?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:41 PM)

I love it. I love being able to sign autographs when I get that extra free time after a round just to be able to give back to the fans.

Mike Hood (Owensboro, KY)

Rickie, it seems putting has been the one area keeping you from truly contending each week. Are you considering or currently seeing a putting specialist or experimenting with other putter models?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:42 PM)

I feel like with putting it can come and go. A lot of it is confidence. I know I’m a good putter, I just need to see a few more putts going in to get some of that confidence back.

Kevin (Louisiana)

You and Dufner seem to go at it a bit on social media… is that good natured ribbing there are is there a rival emerging for you.

Rickie Fowler
  (12:44 PM)

I’ll be Merlin and he can be Levi. #AmishMafia.

Shane (Elmhurst, IL)

Are we going to see more of the mustache or a clean shaved Rickie this year?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:45 PM)

I’m looking forward to participating in Movember.

Derek Litke (Windsor, CT)

Rickie, a group of us are heading down for the Masters in April, what are the best places to place around Augusta? Does your caddie need a caddie for the practice round?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:46 PM)

T-Bones is always a good spot. As far as caddie, you’ll have to speak to Joe on that one.

Noel Shanteau (Chicago, IL)

What was it like leading off the tour this year in Hawaii this year 3 different times? How crazy were those winds?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:47 PM)

It was a lot of fun to start it in Hawaii. Obviously a little hectic with the delays we had. But I enjoyed my time prior and after the event getting to hang out on the island.

Ronnie Sanders [via mobile]

Your wardrobe kind of reminds me of the way skaters dress. Do you enjoy sports other than golf such as skateboarding, snowboarding, etc.?

Rickie Fowler
  (12:48 PM)

I do. I’m not very good on a board. I much prefer wheels, whether it’s bicycles, dirtbikes, cars.

Rickie Fowler
  (12:48 PM)

But thanks to Ian Walsh, I have a new love for surfing.

Brian L. (Staten Island)

Who’s idea was it for the “Golf Boys?”

Rickie Fowler
  (12:49 PM)

I would have to say it was a combined effort of Ben, Bubba and me. Then we asked Hunter if he would want to be a part of it. Then we got a foursome.

Rickie Fowler
  (12:49 PM)

Thanks for coming on and hanging out. Catch me on Twitter and Instagram for more info and content.
