Jonathan Toews scored twice on Thursday night, helping the Chicago Blackhawks extend their season-opening points streak to 20 games with a 3-0 road victory over the St. Louis Blues.

Goalies Ray Emery and Corey Crawford combined on the shutout for Chicago (17-0-3), off to the best start in N.H.L. history.

Crawford was pulled after making six saves in the first period. He missed four games in February because of an upper-body injury and returned to the lineup Sunday.
