UPDATE: Burfict is already back in. Carry on.

The last thing the Bengals could afford to have happen today was another linebacker to go down with an injury, but it appears as though starting weakside LB Vontaze Burfict may have suffered a significant ankle/lower-leg injury. After intercepting Jay Cutler, Burfict returned the ball down the sideline, and was hit in the lower leg area and remained down on the field.

The training staff is still looking at the injury, and it’s safe to say he won’t be back in today’s game as the Bengals nurse a 21-17 lead in the fourth-quarter.
