The line: Saints by 3
Story lines: One of the best rivalries in the league gets some juice back with the return of Saints coach Sean Payton from suspension. Whether New Orleans can get back into the hunt for the NFC South title this season, however, rests in the hands of new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan. His attacking scheme might not have the required talent to stop the Falcons’ top-shelf talent at every offensive skill position. QB Matt Ryan, WRs Julio Jones and Roddy White, TE Tony Gonzalez and prized newcomer RB Steven Jackson should be able to exploit the Saints, who are without DE Will Smith (anterior cruciate ligament) and LB Jonathan Vilma (knee). New Orleans might be able to keep pace on the scoreboard, though, with QB Drew Brees throwing to stud TE Jimmy Graham, who is fully healthy after battling an ailing wrist last season
